        Pete's hand was like that because at the Tacoma, Washington show of 
     August 16th, 1989 Pete was doing some windmills, not noticing that the 
     whammy bar on his guitar was pointing to his right in the locked 
     position.  He came down and punctured his hand with the whammy bar.  
     Apparently it went stright through but luckily didn't cause any nerve 
     damage.  He went offstage for treatment with Roger screaming at him 
     with a nastier word than "wimp."
