Avatar - the first soul to make the journey from unconcious God to conscious God through Evolution, Involution, and Realization, who returns to the Earth at the end of every cycle of time (700-1400 years) to do God's Universal work, and who in the past has been known as Buddha, Krishna, Jesus Christ, Mohammed, and Meher Baba (Compassionate Father).

OK friends - here's a little known Pete story.  
After Pete became interested in Meher Baba in the late 60's, one of Baba's disciples gave him (Baba) a picture of the Who and told him that the English musician had become quite taken with him.  Baba took the photo and placed his thumb over Pete's face and smiled.  The rest is history.
