Re: The Stack

     From Gary M.
^^PT, in the 1980 interview Joe recently added to his Who website
^^(thanks Joe), said that the lower cabinet of his Hiwatt ampifier
^^stack was a "dummy", but that he wouldn't feel "right" if it wasn't
     ^^there.

According to Pete in Richard Barnes' Maximum R 'n' B (I was just
reading it this morning), Pete found he could only get feedback if his
speaker was chest-high instead of floor-high. Therefore, he placed a
dummy cabinet underneath. The book also says Roger was the one who
cane up with the idea of creating huge stacks by putting small amps
and speakers in huge cabinets (impressed the fans).
