In a June 13, 1996 Rolling Stone magazine interview, Pete said, "People
talk to me about how the Stones are still doing it, but it's cultural
relativism.  The Who and the Stones are so different as to be like Strauss
and Gilbert and Sullivan."

Right on Pete!  Jagger and Richards are like Gilbert and Sullivan.  In 
fact they might even be called a freak show.

Experiment for Who fans to try:  Whenever your cable company broadcasts
the live Stone footage from the movie "Let's Spend the Night Together,"
put 30 years of Max R&B in your VCR.  Then do what I did.  Watch one 
minute of the Stones, then one minute of the Who.  Go back and forth.
Then you will understand just how great the Who are.
