Well, if you watch the footage of the Beatles "All You Need is Love" you 
can see Keith Moon twirling brushes near Ringo's hi-hat stand.  Expanding 
on that, Ringo and Keith were good friends and Moon also appears on one 
of Lennon's solo albums.
