LAL recording techniques

I find the discussion to date just fascinating. Surely there must be a way
to find out exactly how LAL was recorded, including whether speakers were
arrayed around the Leeds hall and, if so, whether they had an influence on
the way LAL sounds. Does anyone know Bobby Pridden? Maybe one of the English
list members (of which there seem to be very few, unfortunately)?. Perhaps
someone speaking to JAE after one of his current shows could ask him,
although that is not the ideal time. But here`s another thing: as great as
LAL sounds, the next night the band played at Hull, also with a view to
using the tapes for a live album. The resultant recording was however found
to be totally unusable due to an inaudible bass track. The box set booklet
says this is despite the fact that the Hull date was "professionally
recorded". The booklet does not indicate if Leeds was professionally
recorded, or what is meant by this term. Truly, this is a case of going from
the profane to the sublime (or rather, it`s the other way around)!.
