This is the end (at least for me)

Kevin:

I replied to this via private EMail originally, as Gary requested, but my
reason for using that particular example was that people were getting hurt
in both cases. And that's where you begin to wonder where freedom ends...are
we free to hurt someone else? If so, then surely someone will come along and
"police" us. And _I_ don't want that, personally. Therefore you don't yell
"Fire" and you don't post something that you know will hurt someone, no
matter how much they piss you off.
And I wouldn't place the blame on any one individual here. There have been
posts by at least three people that I would consider over the line. Of
course, that's my personal measurement. The thing is (and you all know this
by now), humor (especially sarcasm) doesn't translate very well on the
computer. So something said with a smile might be taken as if coming from a
sneer...unless one uses those little emoticoms.
Yeah I know...I'm defending my posts, which is less than
interesting...sorry...I won't mention this subject again except via private
mail.

                       Cheers ML
