Cincinnati show

I wish it never ended, it was the best part of the show! I was right up
front and it was great to see the interplay between John and Steve.

Nice to meet you Bruce, a few days late! I was the guy next to you wearing
the RAF t-shirt. (I had emailed the list saying what I'd be wearing for
the show, so I'd meet some of you, but I found out too late that the
message didn't get through.) I should have figured it was someone on the
mailing list since you were writing down the setlist! It was funny how
everyone was crawling around on the floor with lighters looking for picks,
even when it was clear John was not throwing a pick at all because he was
playing with his fingers.

Maybe the sound mix was bad because I also was right up front, but all I
could hear was bass and drums. That was all I needed to hear, though.

To see John at such close range almost makes up for the lack of seeing the
Who in concert. I was surprised how well he still plays; if anything he
has gotten better.

Do yourself a favor: Go see John, hear some awesome bass playing, and
marvel at his pink Wranglers.
