Some reasons why many of rocks' greatest recordings haven't been remixed to
stereo are:
1. Laziness on the part of the record company.
2. The multitracks no longer exist.
3. The songs were recorded on only two or three tracks, and a good stereo
mix isn't possible (e.g., the Byrds' Turn!Turn!Turn!).
4. The artists and/or producer are still alive and are mono purists.
