McVicar's better than...

After listening to the McVICAR, on CD, for the first time in half a decade, I
am firmly convinced that this album is a better rock album, by far, than the
work the Who had in progress when they did this soundtrack:  FACE DANCES.
 While McVICAR may not feature any Townshend or Entwistle compositions, it
rocks far more clearly and aggressively than FD. Looking back to 1980 when
the McVICAR LP first came out, it certainly made me hope that then-upcoming
Who albums would be nearly as much a burner.  Too bad it NEVER happened.
