Re: There's Mr. Plant, then there's ROGER DALTREY

Not to get too deep into this, but the facts remain: the Clintons have not
been found to have been involved in any wrongdoing. This is repeated over
and over and over by the news, and ignored by the GOP.
No one has "zero political agenda," BTW. And do you think that book would
have sold if it was called "Good Sports" instead?

So did I, and I'll do it again...after all, none (not a single one) of the
dire warnings of the GOP came true, the economy was in great shape until the
conservative-supporting oil companies raised gas prices (with the weakest
excuse I've ever seen...do they think no one knows that they use different
facilities for heating fuel and gasoline???), and unemployment is at an all
time low since they began keeping records (or at least it was a few months
ago...I haven't heard any different yet). The deficit is down.
And yes, I'm certainly better off than I was four years ago.
So...there you go. It's not a tough choice for me. I understand that (thanks
to Reaganomics) I must pay higher taxes than I want to, but I don't blame
Clinton for that!

>I happen to remember when Clinton said that, and believe me that was

Hey, guess what? I remember when he said it too! I laughed. And I could tell
from his face it was a joke. I could tell by his voice it was a joke. And
the GOP latched onto it as if it was something deeply disturbing, showing
themselves to be a joke.
Now someone who screams about big bad television being the cause of all our
woes and generally blames everyone but himself for what's happening...he's a
no-go. Hasn't he been in the Senate for some 30 years? So doesn't he share
just a tad of the blame? Did he not say: "If you want me to be Reagan, I'll
be Reagan."? At least Clinton is himself! Hasn't Dole waffled long enough on
the Abortion plank to dicredit anything he might say about Clinton? Doesn't
he talk about himself in the third person all of the time? That's pretty
bizarre behavior, if you ask me.
And he's from Kansas, where they couldn't even come up with a good Rock band.
I also find it humorous when they attack Clinton for changing his mind. Uh,
with a country like ours one would think that being flexible MIGHT be an
asset. And you can't argue with success...it's working.
Frankly, I cannot see how anyone (under 70) could feel good about voting for
Dole. He makes a good pineapple, but...Bush makes a good beer, too, and he
wasn't worth a damn as Prez.

>Which ones do you have, I'd like to compare since I'm a fan of the MK II

I have an LP with: Black Night/Speed King/Strange Kind Of Woman/I'm
Alone/Demon's Eye/Fireball and the MK I stuff (THE DEEP PURPLE SINGLES As &
Bs) and a CD with those and Child In Time as well (THE VERY BEST OF). Are
there any more? The single before BN was Hallelujah/April Part 1 with the MK
I band.

>You seem to give more credit to Daltrey than Plant.

Oh YES! Absolutely! He sounds much better than Plant, and also much, much
closer to his "prime" vocals. On some songs you'd be hard pressed to tell
the difference...whereas Plant simply can no longer do any of what he used
to do.
I think that Daltrey has gotten a bit huskier, but it's not a major
difference. He was always husky...now his range is a bit lower.
