Who IS The Who (fwd)

I couldn't agree more with your analysis.  It's the songwriting and
the vision that makes the band something special.  Look at it this
way: Suppose the Who was still active, or better yet, picture it's
1976 all over again.  What one member of the band COULD NOT be
replaced?  What member's absence would automatically mean no more Who?
All the other members are valuable, and would be missed, but there
could still be a Who without them.  Without Pete... it's hard to see
how they could be a ongoing group.  It would just be RD, JE, and KM do
the songs of Pete Townshend.

BTW, Tommy (the Ken Russel movie) will be shown at 12:35pm on Cinemax
on Thrus, June 13th.  I think that means it'sa ctually on Friday
Mornin'.
