        However it's done, it won't please everyone.  If I've learned one 
     thing from being on this list, it's that we all have very different 
     opinions.  Still I think the best way would have been one modeled 
     after the Elvis Costello reissues (which several other people have 
     mentioned as a good model).
     
     1. The album - followed at a decent interval by
     2. Singles (A & B sides) followed by
     3. All the outtakes you can fit on the disk
     
     This is of course is not the way that Astley and Charlesworth are 
     doing it now.  I believe from the evidence and articles that their 
     primary concerns are
     
     1. Best technical sound quality from the best sounding source.
     2. Creating an extended album that works best as an entire unit for 
     listening from start to finish.
     3. Cramming on as much for collectors as possible even if it means 
     running the tracks together, but as long as it doesn't violate rule 2.
     4. Expressing their and The Who's personal prejudices.
     
     Of course, the primary problem with their approach is that they won't 
     be the one's shelling out the money for the reissues; we will.  So we, 
     The Who fans, are the ones they should be trying to please, IMHO.
