Saw this review of the upcoming Pearl Jam album. Here are some of the
interesting refrences:
>nods to Saint Pete (Townsend), Saint Neil (Young) and, at a few times, The
Saint
>John<ny>'s Entwistle <Jeff will be mixed LOUD at times....groovy> and
Ramone). The
>influence of The Who's "Quadrophenia" will be rampant. By the way, Jack
will prove
>himself to be a vital drummer.
>"Sometimes" - A quiet beginning as the protagonist, fresh from the suicidal
feelings of
>"Vitalogy", contemplates life. Eddie's voice quavers from the emotion.
Reminds the
>listener of "I'm One" on "Quadrophenia."
>"Hail Hail" - An in-yer-face Pearl Jam rocker, but again, more
contemplation
>("sometimes I realize I'll only be as good as you'll let me") or is this
Eddie's message to
>the fans? This one could rage live. It ends with a jangle reminiscent of
how The Who's
>"Pinball Wizard" ends on the Tommy album.
Also, does anyone know of any Pearl Jam boots from 11/24/93 and 3/15/94? They
covered I'm One at both of these shows, or so I'm told.
