Simon at the Merc

For those who have not been to the Mercury Lounge...the Merc is a former
headstone parlor on Houston St (217 East). East of First Avenue. It's a
very small venue, with a bar in front, and the performance space in the back.
A few benches and tables around the side, but mostly an open floor.
 Ususally great sound.

Be warned, Saturday shows can be crowded (or even sell out). I'm going to
check on ticket availability today, and will post any news.
The Merc's phone number is 212-260-4700.

As to a meeting place...the bar at the Merc would work fine unless someone
has a better idea. The place fills up slowly, so it shouldn't be too crowded
early.

BTW, Katz's Deli passed its prime about 25 years ago. It's still an
interesting artifact, but not THE DELI in NYC. Used to be a regular
Presidential campaign stop, but last visit was Reagan in 1980 I believe.

See ya on the third.
