Don't forget that The Who played at the 1988 BPI (British Phonographic
Industry) award ceremony with Kenny, and I would imagine that this was the
last time they all played together. Unfortunately I didn't have a video
recorder at that time, but if memory serves they played My Gen, Who Are
You and Substitute. I could be wrong, so if anyone remembers better,
please let me know. What I do remember is that they sounded pretty
awful....they had a cheesy synth backing tape to Substitute, Townshend
looked really unhappy and totally fluffed the solo on WAY, and to cap it
all off the program ran over it's scheduled time and they were faded out
mid-song.
Cheers,
Dave
