The Who Live

Hi. There has been some talk about a proposed Who Live Compilation and I just
came up with an idea for it that I'm not sure has been brought up yet. I
think that the Who live should be covered like the Beatles Anthologies. Make
the first double CD cover 1965-1968. Have the first disc cover the early
shows from 65-67 and maybe have the second disc cover 68 with the Filmore
East shows. Make the second double CD cover 1969-1972. Have the first disc
contain a Tommy live and second disc contain shows from 71-72 like San
Francisco show and the Young Vic show. Make the third Double CD cover
1973-1976. Have the first disc contain a Quad live and other material from
73-74 and make the second disc contain material from the 75-76 tours. This
way instead of people buying a multiple disc set they can buy a series of
double CDs. The CDs could be released like the new Beatles anthologies
(several months in between releases). This approach does leave some holes in
covering the Who live (i.e. non-Tommy material from 69-70) and I'm not sure
there is enough material from 65-68 to cover two CDs. I don't think that
MCA/Polydor would go for it but it is just a thought. Thanks for reading.
