When you see today's bands dropping tour dates because someone has the 'flu,
or sprained an ankle, you've got to appreciate "the old pros'" attitudes
towards performances.

In Kansas City in 1994, Rog got hit by a blast of feedback (through
headphones) that almost knocked me off my feet 200 feet away. (And gave me a
24 hr headache afterwards.) He literally fell over from it; I figured he had
to have blown an eardrum. He reeled off-stage for a couple of minutes, but
the band played on, and Roger was back for the next verse and finished the
show without a single word about what had to be the killer headache of all
time. A true pro. He gave a better show than the crowd deserved. But I
appreciated it.

I don't remember John ever having to play through a major injury, but the
other three certainly have troopered through situations that would put lesser
men off a tour. That's our boys!
