Actually, that may just be because the old song order is ingrained in your
head that any changes really stick out. Having never had the original album
(you used to hear most of these songs on the radio all the time anyway) I
didn't notice anything different with the production on Pure and Easy and it
seemed to fit right in.  Once you get to a point with an album where you know
what the next song is as the song you are listening to is ending, your brain
misses it if you don't get it. It's much easier to pick out differences than
similarities.
