The Who vs. Led Zep

           I think Pete expressed his feelings towards Led Zep very 
clearly on "The Iron Man" with the song "I Eat Heavy Metal". With a 
title like that I don't think any more needs to be said. I remember reading
somewhere where he said that song was meant as a stab at Robert Plant,
who he was having problems with concerning the "Tommy" performance in 
1989 with the guest performers.  In the interview Pete talked about how he
felt The Who basically invented Heavy Metal on Live At Leeds and he
thought too much credit was given to Led Zep for starting what was to
become known as Heavy Metal.
