The Who and What They Mean to Me.

Here goes:
I was born in June of '64 so I was tortured with the music of the 70's and
80's as soon as I was old enough to appreciate the artform. I grew up in a
small town in Indiana so most of the good Punk music didn't get to me until
the movement was over.

I discovered The Who by accident one night while watching Don Kirshner's
Rock Concert. They were shown performing WGFA and I was immediately hooked.
I started buying Who albums every time I had the money.I was the only kid in
my school that really LOVED The Who. Most were into Hendrix, Zep, Stones,
Beatles etc. Quad is my Fave. Every time I listen to it, I have to listen to
the WHOLE thing!

I was a tall, skinny, big nosed guy in School like Pete so I connected with
his persona and lyrics quite well. I always listened to The Who when I was
feeling teen angst (which was most of the time).

Anyway, that's what The Who means to me. By the way, although I like Pete
the most, I think of The Who as : Roger, John, Pete , and Moony. So I think
the cracks about Roger are out of line. The Who ain't The Who without him!
