Just as a point of reference, someone listed "Magic Bus" as being typical of what the Who was doing in late 1967 to mid-1968. The song was actually written by Pete in 1966 and given first to an English band called the Pudding who released it on both sides of the Atlantic in late 1966 as a 45.
