Re: Artistic/Musical Peaks for Each Who member

Hi all 'oo fans,

With all this talk about Pete's creative peak (so to speak), I thought
I'd throw out a related question. I don't think this has been discussed
before, except perhaps with regard to Keith Moon.
At what time during the life of the Who were each of the members at
their artistic and/or musical peak? For my part, I think that the Pete of
1970-73, Roger of 1975-78, John of 1969 and the Keith of 1971 would make a
great "dreamteam", as it were :) Or, if you like, the Pete of LAL thru
Quad, the Roger of WBN-WAY, John of Tommy and Keith from Who's Next.
Whatever. Any thoughts?

Sure, I have some thoughts. For one, I don't think
Entwistle has ever peaked (that is, reached a zenith and
then began a noticeable decline). The man is pure talent.
For the rest, I think the individuals' peaks coincided with
their group peak: The Who Sellout through Quadrophenia. I
have a hard separating the members from this output during
          this era.
