YMB on Accept No Substitiute

There's also a version on Accept No Substitute recorded in San
Francisco in
1969. I personnaly consider it to be the best version of YMB that I
have ever heard. Although I listened to LAL on a near daily basis for
almost 4 years, I never quite liked its YMB. But Accept No Substitute
has got it down. Granted, it is not a well massaged recording, but I
think thats just one of the reasons that I love it so. Does anyone
else have comments on this one?

I have to agree with Chico that the version of YMB on Accept no
Substitute (which I think someone on here pointed out is actually
from a Fillmore East show in 1969) is probably my favorite version,
especially when sped up to proper speed. But I must say the version
on the recently released Pure Rock Theater has also got my attention.
Had my first listen last night. Another great version can be found
on the Who is Tommy? CD, which I believe is also taken from the
acetates from the famous "burned" 1969 tour tapes.
