I always thought that he was talking about himself.
Working while being drunk, and finally getting help
in that drug clinic in California.
Then waking up clean, and his old :self: was finally
"dead".


But isn't that song someohow dedicated to a female
counseler that helped him when he checked in the
clinic ?
