1) at the age of seven, I took my hard earned allowance and bought
(yes I did) Saturday Night Fever. Looking back on it I laugh,
especially since the age of three I was brought up on a steady diet
of The White Album, Simon and Garfunkel, Nashville Skylike, and the
Mama's and Papas.

2) After a short flirtation with disco, I came back to my sences.
Around the summer of '78 I kept hearing this 'who who who who' song
on the radio not knowing what it was. A year later I heard at what
the time I thought was the greatest song every written. It turned
out to be I Can See For Miles. Finally in '81 I bought Face Dances
thanks to a friend and the rest is history.

3) Emerson Lake and Powell '86. I was deep in my progressive rock
phase during this time. This was following my Zep-Pur-bath years.

Through all of those phases, only the Who and Beatles have
remained. But the Who eclipsed the Beatles as my favorite band 12
years ago.
