Speaking of blues, PDX is awash in it.  It gets a bit annoying, after hearing the 50e6th rendition of
a 12 bar swing blues in the local bar. One guy rises above it all:  Terry Robb.  Saw him Fri. night. 
Most people were just watching him.  It reminds me of the bit Townshend said on the 30th anniv. video:
There will be no chatting up the girls, no gettin' a beer, there's just us.  Some people are background
music, others are foreground.  He does a great version of the original Eyesight to the Blind.  

Even though the blues thing here is way way overdone, I spent a Fri. and Sat. night in Beale St. a 
few years ago and found our stuff a bit more exciting and listenable.  But what the heck do I know.

Of course, the local dipshit for the only daily, the Oregonian, hates Terry Robb and sprays over Robert
Cray, who I feel is way overrated, but it's p.c. to love Robert Cray, so therefore he (Marty Hughley)
tows the corporate line....
