I have to add my bit to this as well. I grew up on the Beatles
and had the same enthusiasm to their music during my early years
( I guess between 10 years old till I heard TKAA commercial, about
  15 years old)

As I recall, at 15 I grew tired of the Beatles. I needed a change,
plus, I realized that somehow, they would never do a renunion, and
at the time, never realized that there were going to be boots that
I could buy, once I got a job,money,car, etc...

I used to get into the "death clues" thing..I was a bit fascinated
with playing things backwards, reading into lyrics..
I still get a hoot today when someone plays "Stairway TO Heaven"
backwards..Weird

I also thought that since the Who were a 4 member band, from England
that were started in the 60's as well, that they would be just as
cool as the Beatles were.

I still have a place in my heart for the Beatles, but I don't really
find my self going out of my way to hear them. Just rarely these
days do I put on Abbey Road or SgtPepper. I suppose its because the
radio is always playing their songs.

But I was a real Beatles junkie as a child. I thank the musical gods
for creating them ( ;). I think that they are a speacial rock and roll
item and turned me on to rock and roll, something that i still have
a love for today.

And yes, I will never get over my hatred for Mark David Chapman.
I remember clearly that night, listening to my radio, with people
calling in crying....I will always remember one caller.."Now they
will NEVER get back together..."

Oh well. Sorry for slipping off the Who platform. We now return you
to your regularly scheduled forum.

 Long Live Rock..
