another LaL moment

Listening to the original LaL vinyl, I _loved_ in Magic Bus the first
time or two Pete (et al?) come in with "Too much, magic bus." It
sounded like he was just roaring it, _but_ it was very quiet in the
mix. This may have been a deliberate mixing decision, but to me it
sounded (and still does) like one possible explanation was that what
was on the vinyl was Pete's vocal as heard through Roger's microphone.
At any rate, I never failed to get a thrill out of hearing Pete
screaming away into his mike, but relatively faint as at a distance.
Then, I discover the reissue has the backing vocals up full in the
mix! My imagined view of Pete was suddenly thrust nearly
front-and-center! I'm not sure I necessarily like it better
(especially since, as I recall, Pete's backing vocals increase
markedly in volume on the original after the first two times he sings)
but it sure brought back memories.

I know it's only rock and roll, but I want it, I want it, I want it, I
want it...:-)
