Well, being a really big Who fan myself (for 23 years), I would have to say
it's because..., well... to be honest ...

1) Daltrey isn't a very good singer and didn't do much for the Who after 1975.
In the early days, he was a powerful voice that projected the anger of the
early Who songs. Later, his voice was just screaming. Personally, I like to
hear Townshend sing the songs. Daltrey gives me a headache. I won't even go
into what I think about him personality-wise.

2) Entwistle is underrated. I own all of his solo albums and love all of
them. I've been to see him when he has toured the small clubs in the area. He
isn't talked about much because his contributions (other than his exceptional
bass playing) to the Who have been minor; usually only 2 or 3 songs per album.
I'm waiting for more solo projects from him.

3) Moon: there isn't much new to say about him. He kind of said it all.

4) Jones: I think he was a mistake. He has to be the stiffest drummer I've
ever seen. God I hated hearing him play those Who songs.

5) Bundrick: no one knows anything about him except that he has played with
the Who for about 15 (+/-) years. Certainly he hasn't contributed anything
except behind the scenes keyboard playing ... and then usually only live. I
don't think he's on any Who studio work. I think he might be on some PT solo
work, though. I'm not sure ... and don't care. I don't think his abilities
are anything exceptional.

6) Philips: how come no one ever talks about Simon Philips? He's an awesome
drummer. Does anyone know of any other albums he has played on? Some one told
me he was the studio drummer for a Jeff Beck album, but I don't know which one.

Did I miss anyone?
