I believe Mike Shrieve was 15 years old when he joined Santana, but he 
had probably grown to the ripe old age of 16 or 17 by the time of Woodstock.

And yes, the guy kicks ass!  Definitely one of the highlights of the 
festival.

Also, for anybody out there interested in other albums with Shrieve, you 
might want to check out "Through The Fire," by Sammy Hagar, Neal Schon, 
Kenny Aaronson & Mike Schrive (H.S.A.S.).  I believe it just came out on CD.

P.S.  I heard that Shrieve had joined the Abraxas band (former members of 
Santana, including Neal Schon and Gregg Rolie), but the band is on hiatus 
now that Journey is getting back together (blecch).
