Boot comments

Jon asked about a few bootlegs, so here goes:

Lifehouse Live at Young Vic - Suprisingly muddy sound, given that we all know
an excellent tape exists. Very interesting set (opening with "Too Much of
Anything"), but a sloppily played set. Very interesting for historical
purposes.

Furious Prelude - The best version of the April 1968 Fillmore show - a must.

Charlton - The 1974 Charlton show was issued on a CD-boot about 4 years
ago in very limited #'s - very hard to find - great sound, but another
sloppy set. The 1976 Swansea set has also been issued in Vinyl boots, but
I don't know of it on CD.

Hope this helps - remember, this is all just the opinion of one listener's
ears!

PS - I think the boot list underrates Generation records, which has increased
in quality (and quantity), and is my favorite import store in NYC, and I
know most of them on the list!
