Paris not St. Louis etc.

Hi all,

Thanks for the info on the Mississippi River Festival, Tim.

It seems I have to correct myself about the picture in Guitar World. The claim
that it was from St. Louis was a wild guess anyway.

The picture was in fact taken in Paris in '72 at the Fete de'l Humanite (~Feast
for Humanity), during their European tour. I discovered this as I flicked
through the "Maximum R&B" book, which has some more pictures. Nevertheless,
both concerts are very interesting.

The first guess I made was based on the concert list in the brilliant fanzine
"Generations". In the list there's also information to the fact that the Paris
gig was filmed and recorded! Wow, this would be neat to see. I hope something
from this show makes it to Daltrey's "Who live" video compilation. (Or what-
ever it will be)

Now to something completely different....

I listened to a fairly "new" Pete Townshend bootleg the other day. It was
called "Pure&Easy", and seems to be the exact copy of an old vinyl boot with
the same title, ie it sounds like an old LP when played. Songs are:

Pure&Easy (different to the one on "Who came first")
Song Is Over
Time Is Passing
Love Ain't for Keeping
Classified
Greyhound Girl
Goin' Mobile
Won't Get Fooled Again
