I have a 98' also.....

    The problems you described have occured on my GLX also;
    
    1) that grease residue from the window shows up whenever I put up the 
window
    2) I also get that weird squeeking sound....sucks 

            I say keep telling the dealer; even though my dealer stinks and 
it gets annoying going back and back again!

                just letting you know you are not the only one!!
