Get the Eurosport Coolflo if you want increased performance and you like the
sound of an open intake...it has a heatshield to minimize intake of hot air.
If you wanna save some bucks, and don't mind spending a few hours working on
the car, do the "philly air box mod"...basically it's taking a  3" hose and
routing it from the front air dam to the bottom of the airbox. I've seen it
first-hand and it works. Go to http://www.listquest.com and do a search in
the gti-vr6 archives for "philly air box mod".
