After reading this, it sounds like Anthony
Carter of the Miami Heat could be available with the $2.25.  I know we
were probably hoping to get someone better with it, but this guy, I believe,
is just what we need.  After watching him play in the playoffs, he has
the confidence needed at the point guard spot and filled in for Hardaway
    very well.

Any chance of trading a resigned Fortson to
Miami for a resigned Anthony Carter, and of course, something
    else?

If we did a deal like that, would we still have
    our exceptions available?

Would Fortson get the playing time he wants
    there?
They may want him so that they have an
advantage when they play the Knicks.

    Just a thought.
    What does everyone think?

Well miami could use him but they probably need
the services of Carter more. Seeing as how theyll probably have the
enfeebled Tim Hardaway at the point. The problem for Miami is that they
don't have any money to offer Carter. So really a sign and trade is probably
not a sound financial option for AC.
Speaking of point guards did anyone see our old
friend Damon Jones dropped 51 in a Houston summer league game. Don't know if
he is still under contract with Dallas but I wouldn't mind seeing him here
in the role Overton filled last year. Better than Mark Jackson as far as I
am concerned. The Celts can't run if the point guard has to use a cane
to get on up the floor.
