NY Post's Peter Vecsey
Hi:
Here's some clips from today's Peter Vecsey NBA gossip column in the NY
Post, all of at least minor interest IMO to Celtics fans.
(BTW, where have you gone Witchcraft? This is supposed to be your job!)

Olden Polynice couldn't believe his ears when Shaq went off at the mouth
regarding the referees and their alleged lack of calls during a Sonics'
victory. "I called him and left a message on his machine. I told him
what I told him on the court when he was whining about the same thing:
'I might've gotten away with a couple hits, big fella, but you know as
well as I do, a foul ain't a foul unless they call it.' You know what he
told me on the court? He wishes he could call his own fouls. No bleep!
Don't we all?"
Nugget coaches strongly reprimanded Nick Van Exel for distancing himself
from the huddle after being benched in the fourth quarter against the
Suns. "That's right," Van Exel was told, "make Del Harris out to be a
genius for labeling you a loser."
Poor Vin Baker (nine points in Seattle's loss at Houston and two points
in the Sonics' loss in San Antonio) is so scared about visiting the foul
line (3-for-29) his rapidly disintegrating game is moving farther and
farther out on the perimeter. This is not the time, I submit, to be on
the end of his contract. The Sonics' new motto: The Baker's Dozen't.
Just when Jason Williams was feeling good about himself and the league
was about to anoint him rookie of the year, the Kings made the mistake
of taking a five-game road trip. In quick succession, Williams got
roasted by Stephon Marbury, a combination of Penny Hardaway/ Darrell
Armstrong and the parlay of Allen Iverson and Eric Snow. Head-to-head
confrontations with Rod Strickland and Steve Nash remain beforeWhite
Chocolate returns home and faces the challenge of being eaten alive by
teammate Oliver Miller.
...contrary to what (Jerry) West originally thought about Dennis Rodman,
they seem like a perfect fit. One guy is nicknamed Mr. Clutch. The other
guy is known as Mr. Clutch Purse.
