re:Pacemakers' Game



I don't think they've got enough forwards to start Pierce at guard.  
Pierce, Battie and McCarty are the only ones ready, and McCarty isn't 
even 100%.  Minor and Barros will have to start at guard, with only 
Jones and Garnett to back up.  V, Riley and Schinzius will have to 
take all the minutes at center.  That's everybody, isn't it, assuming 
Mercer's still out.  If he can play, Minor will get some time at 
forward.  Whatever the case, this is as depleted a squad as I've ever 
seen.

The only positive I can see is that it could give Pierce a chance to 
step up and make one last charge at rookie of the year.  I certainly 
want him to stay at forward, rather than try to adjust to a new 
position at a time like this, though.
