re:Cofman article

Hey,

I'm with Ricky P. on this one. These fans don't know what they
are watching out there. I watched the whole game last night and
can remember at least 3 times when Toine, dove on the floor for
loose balls. Not to mention the fact that anyone who's paid attention
the last few games, would see that Toine, has been forced to play
at least half the time at the Point.

Anyone who has tryed this, knows that playing the point does not
always mix well with your own offense. Even Tommy, keeps yelling
at Toine to stay down low and help the team, but if he's the only
one capable of setting up the offense, then he's gotta be up top.

Pitino, mentioned that Mookie gives Dana trouble, that's why
Toine is playing a lot of point. I don't know how many steals
the hawks guards, had off our guards (including Dana, Ron
and Paul) but Antoine was the only steady ball-handling force.
(relatively speaking of course)

Before you get the idea that I love Toine's game, I don't. I
think he's got a lot of flaws, but right now he's what allows
us to play without a true pg and be competitive.

There aren't that many 6'9" forwards, who can grab 10 boards a
game, but also run the point if forced to. Add to that, the fact
that he hustles, presses and wants to win badly, I say give Toine
a break. We don't want these guys dreading coming back in October.

Sorry for rambling, but one final thought. We have spent a lot of
time on this list bashing Pitino, for constant yelling, screaming
and killing these guys egos. Isn't that what the fans are doing
right now.
