Dee Chat

There's a Dee Brown chat on NBA.com. Here's what he has to say about the Celtics:

"You hate to see a team that you played for not do well ... Coach Pitino
taught me a lot the half-year I was there with him. He's a guy who hates to
lose, is very intense, and I have respect for him because he expects his
players to be the same way. It's tough for the guys I played with: Antoine
Walker, Dana barros, Ron Mercer, because they hate to lose too. And it's tough
in Boston, because it's a city taht expects to win. I think the lockout hurt
them a little bit, because they didn't get a chance to practice with teh young
players. They don't have veterans to help the young guys get through all these
games in such a short time. That's something they're missing: veterans. Next
year, that team will be very diffrent. They'll be pressing, very aggressive.
You won't see the same team you saw this year."

Pretty classy overall, I thought. He didn't do a Massenburg, and he's got
cause to be bitter. His point about vets is very well taken, considering
what's going on in Toronto right now.

On another note, somebody had asked where Wayne Turner is expected to go. The
mock draft at ESPN.com has his rated among the last 5 or so picks of the 2nd
round.
