Lockout strikes first in Boston

Hey all, some Celtic/NBA/lockout news:

Now that the lockout is in effect, our own Kenny Anderson will be the first to feel the direct effects. Anderson became the first player to miss a paycheck. His contract calls for him to receive his entire salary of $5.8 million on July 1.

Also, just before the lockout took effect, the union filed a last minute grievance with arbitrator John Feerick on behalf of 11 players who will not receive paycheck this month, including Anderson. Others players that were to receive a payment in July are Tim Duncan, Dikembe Mutombo and Jim McIlvaine.
