Observations

Hi all.

Regarding many of the comments that have been made in the past week
concerning whether Pitino can make rational decisions, and if Billups can
indeed become an NBA point guard, two points have to be made:

1. Pitino was hailed as a savior in May; now he is being questioned. It is
almost sad to see many of the people who thought that his hiring was the
greatest day in the history of the franchise now wondering if he knows what
he is doing. It seems if the criticism is rehashed from the ML days.

2. Lost in all this is the fact that we are playing 20-22 year olds in a
man's league. Yes, Billups is floundering, but who isn't? The Celtics have
a poor half court offense, sporadic team defense, and when you have a roster
that only has 5 of the 15 players from the previous year, these things are
going to happen. Things will get better.
