[Fwd: Re: Young-uns]

hind site is always 20-20. Billups can jump but he jumps length wise not
vertically. He needs to get those jumping sole shoes to help him jump higher if
the reason for trading him because he can't jump.
I just want to stress we have him, he still a rookie and he needs time to
develop. He looks like a good kid. We could always say we could of gotten
Daniels or Jacques Vaughn for that matter and still not be happy depending on
their performance. The possibilities are endless.

We have a good, solid nucleus of a young team that needs time to develop and
work together. Pitino shouldn't be so harsh on him because of rookie mistakes.
He seems to be forgetting he is a rookie, making the transistion from college
to NBA and from Da Kid to Da team, and learning a new system. Many of us
already stressed this, too bad Pitino isn't reading the many emails about
Billups.
Speaking of which, I was watching the New York game the other night and when
the camera showed him after making a basket and was pressing on the baseline,
he looked tired and uninterested in the game. I might be wrong and only saw his
game face but he doesn't seem interested playing the game. I guess what I mean
is I couldn't see his intensity in his eyes. Geting into a shouting session with
McCarty after making a basket and drawing a foul seem the only time he gets
pumped or making a great pass to the slashing Knight. (I forget which game)

Let me just say again, lets give them time to develop. It is still too early to
make trade suggestion to anyone of them.

And yours is not less noble because no drums beat
before you when you go out into your daily battlefields
and no crowds shout about your coming when you return
from your daily victory or defeat
