Re: Painful
I was simply posting who I believe to be the top 8 draft picks RITESH, I do
not consider Billups to be a bust, in fact, I'm probably the only one who's
fought for the kid on this mailing list against all those who want to trade
him. I have been a Billups fan since he was a freshman at Colorado, I know
what he's capable of and if Ricky would stop putting Chauncey's ass in the
doghouse, let the kid learn, run a structured offense then maybe CB could
show Pitino just why he was the best point guard in the draft.
In response to your question of who do we take, my opinon is this; we
grab Raef LaFrentz (Kansas), at 6"11 the kid has a great all-around game,
he does it all, scores, boards, blocks, a definete asset and he's a PF so
we can put him in there and move 'Toine back to SF, which leaves us Mercer
at 2 and Chauncey at point with Knight in the middle. Another possiblility
is to leave 'Toine at power, and grab Paul Pierce (Kansas) he's 6"6 and a
SF, again another all-arounder and he can shoot from anywhere. If people
don't like Knight, then we grab Keon Clark (UNLV) but he's another Camby
(no real muscle), and with Knight I think that would be a waste. Miles
Simon and Mike Bibby (Both Arizona) are both great guards, but we don't
really need one unless we move Mercer to the 3 and take Simon who is very
good and can shoot with range.
Feel free to critique.
