Nicked from Carrie's FB group.

I wonder if they really will play new places. Almost as exciting a thought as new songs.

Going where they've never gone before: The Who plan spectacular tour for 50th anniversary

VETERAN rockers The Who intend to boldly go where they’ve never been before as a celebration of their 50th anniversary.

The band have announced a UK tour starting in November and will also head to Europe and the USA but they plan to perform in countries they’ve never previously played.

Guitarist Pete Townshend, 69, tells Day & Night: “We’re planning to do shows in a fairly broad range of places, maybe a few we haven’t played before.

“We’ve never played South America or Mexico. We could play Russia or Hungary… There’s quite a few places we haven’t performed.

“But we will tour America and Europe and do the UK. That’s what we’re going to do, playing the old hits before I go deaf.”

Front man Roger Daltrey, 70, can’t believe the band has lasted at the top for so long.

“It is remarkable really when you realise how tough this business is,” he says. We couldn’t agree more.
