Who on UK TV

It's hard to avoid seeing The Who on TV at the moment.

In just one advert break last week, there were TWO commercials using Who music! Just imagine my Whogasms. ("Clean up in aisle four!")

It was on the Virgin One channel: first Baba O'Riley was used to promo "American Inventor". This was soon followed by an ad for "Horton Hears a Who" - which played Who Are You!

On Thursday last week, Roger appeared on BBC1's This Week. That makes 2 live TV appearances in 2 days! Rog is turning into a real Media Whore.

He just talked about the Teenage Cancer Trust, and Elvis being his greatest inspiration. Nothing new.

(But it's great that he's getting so much publicity for TCT; this year much more than ever before.)

Coming up soon:

Murray Lerner's "Amazing Journey" film gets its UK premier next week.

Friday 18th April, BBC Four, 21:30 - 23: 30

Later that night, the same channel is reshowing "The Who at the Electric Proms".

Saturday 19th April, BBC Four, 00:20 - 01:10.

So, what's being shown between these two Who programs? In a bizarre scheduling decision, they're showing an old episode of The Avengers!

Also, the FX channel is showing "The Final 24" hours of Keith Moon's life.

Friday, 11th April, FX, 23:00 - 00:00.
