The rest of her post rings true enough but I know for a fact John  
kept a Mexican red-kneed tarantula named Doris for years, whom he  
cared for tenderly in her own terrarium-condo and fed crickets.   
Furthermore, it irritated him when he tried to tell people about  
Mexican red-kneed tarantulas and they thought he was making it up.
