>What we got was Endless Wire...and I love it. I say I'd

>stubbornly to what The Who *used* to be for so long. So there!

How is this tied to John, again?
Is Pete asserting that John would not have permitted an Endless Wire?
I don't believe that.
Pino permitted it.
Why not John?
I've always been under the impression that Pete created, and the rest came
in afterwards and gave it "The Who" sound.
I think John on EW would have been magnificent.
I don't recall John really being a push in the creative process of previous
albums.
Sure, John had a couple of songs, but like Pete said, they were the comedic
relief to the heaviness of Pete's writing.
There could have been a John song or two on EW.

I think it was just dumb luck timing.
Pete was coming around to the idea of doing another album, of writing the
songs.
Of daring to go there.
And then, John died.

But, I don't think it's fair to state that it's not fair it didn't happen
before John's death.
That sounds like it was Pete's duty to us or something.

We have no control in any of that.....and that's how it should be.
It's not our life.
It's his.
He has the right to be true to himself.
I hear regret in Pete for taking so long to come around.
And, just when he was.......blamo.

That, as they say.........is life.
