Just in time for the '75 Who tour.  He was still using 
Fenderbirds/Thunderbirds on his Ox tour early in the year. He bought his 
first on holiday. After Peter Cook rewired it John  flew to Frisco and 
bought 3 more to use on the road.  Stafford 10/3/75 was the first concert 
use of Alembics.

I'm glad you asked,  just found some live photos of the band Ox at Brunell 
University.  Before this I could count the number of band concert photos I'd 
ever seen on one hand!  Now it takes two hands. :)
