Repost from TheShout:

>So, I went to Barnes and Noble tonight to support Rachel and get myself
>pumped up for Thursday night at Joe's Pub. I got there a little later than
>I wanted to, but still before she started performing. The store employees
>pointed me toward the empty seats in the back and said we could sit there,
>so my date and I went towards the back. I almost sat in one row, but there
>was a guy on the end and I didn't want to have to climb over him, so I took
>the next row and went all the way to the other side and sat down. As I sat
>down, I turned to look at my date and noticed a very distinct profile out
>of the corner of my eye--PETE! I couldn't believe it. If things had gone as
>I planned and I had been on time, I would have been toward the front, but
>here I was just barely on time and I ended up sitting right in front of
>him. I didn't expect him there at all with the tour starting tomorrow. I
>expected Mikey to be there, but he wasn't and Pete was. He saw me looking
>at him and said hi and shook my hand. I snapped a quick photo of myself
>with Pete in the background. It didn't turn out well, but that's okay
>because I got one with him after the show. Rachel was fabulous and Pete
>joined her onstage to perform "Just Breathe." I hope that he doesn't think
>I was some mental Who fan who purposely sat in front of him, I seriously
>had no clue he was there, and just couldn't help turning to look once I
>realized my luck.

Anyway, the moral of the story is that being a fan of Rachel (as well as
Pete's) has its perks. Oh, and Pete is one lucky guy to have Rachel, she's a
real knockout in person. The pictures and live video just don't do her
justice. She's very very beautiful. Of course, who would expect anything
less for Pete.

One other thing is that he was telling some of the other bloggers that he
didn't like the press taking things out of context and that was sort of why
he stopped blogging. He also mentioned that when Roger first heard the stuff
from TBWHM that he said that "it was just the same ol' shit." But now, Roger
really likes it. Pete said it really is the same ol' shit, the same themes,
etc. I wish I could have gotten to hear him talk a little more on it, but
that's okay, it was a complete and total bonus since I was there to see
Rachel.
